Roads and access

Active monitoring

Highway 7300 — main access road

A possible breach was projected on or around April 20. Sagamok Fire is measuring river levels twice daily. A Tiger Dam is in place at Indian Head to protect the highway. If conditions turn critical, you should hear from Everbridge and Sagamok’s social channels.

River Road

Closed between Marlene and Silas Abitong’s residence and Raymond and Janet Owl’s residence. Many interior roads are flooded — take it slow.

Be prepared

  • Put together a kit: food, water, medications, and important documents.
  • Fuel vehicles and portable containers.
  • Register for emergency alerts through Everbridge.
  • Check on Elders and neighbours who need extra support.
  • Plan for possible evacuation, especially if mobility is limited.
  • Keep children and pets away from flooded areas.
  • Slow down on the roads — do not drive through standing water.
